Many hands make light work as new fire hose is loaded on the new rig.—————Jan.12,Chester Fire Hall/Central St.It was a big day for The Village Of Chester and The Chester Volunteer Fire Department as they took delivery of their new truck.#541 is a Spartan with body by Metalfab.It is powered by a Cummins diesel engine with a Detroit Allison automatic transmission.It is a pumper/tanker with a 10 person maximum capacity to transport firefighters.Water capacity is 1500 gallons with a 1500 gal/min pump.There is a 40 gal foam system on board.It is equipped to have a computer on board.It has the latest safety features and more Scott air packs than their other trucks do.It also carries 3000 feet of 5 inch supply hose.It is a great addition to the Department’s equipment inventory.
