Part Time Administrative Assistant Position

Village of Chester is seeking applications for the position of Part-time Administrative Assistant.   The Administrative Clerk will report to the Clerk Treasurer and be able to provide administrative and clerical services and ensure that municipal operations are maintained in an effective and efficient manner.  
General office duties will include maintaining office files, taking minutes at monthly meetings, recording accounts payable and performing bank reconciliations, etc.
 The skills and behaviours required for this position include:
• Completion of a recognized administration/office program
• Basic accounting skills
• Previous administrative support experience of a minimum of 5 years is essential
• Working in a government office would be a valuable asset
• Proficiency with MS Office 2007/2010 applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Keen attention to detail, efficient and accurate
• Willingness to learn new skills
